The Walk to School

Hating the umbrella
That my overprotective mother 
Made me carry
Even on sunny days sometimes

but Pretending
It was a machine gun
Or some important piece
        of war equipment

Until my sister yells at me
For stabbing the electric pole with it
Saying you'll get electrocuted,
                    Stupid
